Aloha!… The Perfect Hawaiian Iced Coffee:
I stumbled upon this little gem: Pioneer Woman’s Perfect Iced Coffee on her website. She is pure genius and I followed her recipe to the “T.” As always the Pioneer Woman is right on, I did in fact, make the perfect, most flavorful, and less acidic cup of iced coffee. Never bitter, it exactly what you want in an iced coffee. It is the most amazing way to start my morning runs and the perfect way to cool down after a long run.
I found this container at Wal-Mart for $6 to store the iced coffee in the fridge. I could not believe that iced coffee can be stored for 3 weeks!
ground medium roast is the best and you get get it at Wal-Mart for $6. When Joe and I were in Hawaii, I had the best coffee in Kona village. I was never a fan of coffee until I tried it in Kona and will pretty much only drink Hawaiian coffee. Maybe it is just a mental thing.

My changes to the Pioneer Woman’s Perfect Iced Coffee: I grabbed a 12 oz bag of coffee instead of a 16 oz bag like she suggests. So I added 6 quarts of water instead of 8 quarts like she suggests. Got it?… 12 oz coffee… 6 quarts of water ***
Other Tip: Pour some of the coffee into ice cube trays and freeze them. Put 1 or 2 of the frozen coffee cubes into your iced coffee so when the ice melts, the coffee is still just as strong!
How to make it Hawaiian:
- Start with Kauai Coffee 100% Hawaiian coffee in Vanilla Macadamia flavor
- Add Ice
- Add splash of 1% organic milk
- 1 capful of coconut flavor syrup (from Starbucks)
- 1/2 packet of Sugar in the Raw from Hawaii
