Well, Joe and I are excited to annouce that we will have a baby in February! I thought something was up when we were hiking in Red River in May and I was soooo out of breath on only a 4 mile out and back course. I had a wonderful quiet time in the mountains that week from Psalm 37: 4 “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” We are thankful, humbled, and excited about our little baby!
We went to the doctor for the sonogram, but asked her to not tell us if we were having a boy or girl. We wanted to find out the gender with all of our friends and family instead of just us in the doctor office. We had the tech circle the answer (boy or girl) and put it in sealed envelope. My friend Cass works at the same hospital and I went to see her right after the appointment. And, no we did not open the envelope… it was a long 24 hours! 🙂
Then we drove the envelope to my friend Kathryn’s house who was going to make my birthday cake with either pink or blue cake inside for the surprise! It was going to be a joint Gender Reveal/my birthday party with the theme “How Sweet it is.”
I had so much fun decorating for the party! It was a much needed distraction! We cut into the cake…. and…. it’s…. a…….
BOY! We can’t wait to meet little Brannon! Let the registering begin. You better believe that the FIRST thing I registered for is the BOB Revolution Jogging Stroller!
