At around 2:30 when baby is still (hopefully) napping, I start the familiar trek to the fridge and stare hoping my options have magically changed. This time I tried a new 15 min workout video first before I snacked. I had been dying to try the Tone It Up “Love Your Body with Kettlebells” routine by Karena and Katrina. Using a 10lb dumbbell instead of a kettle bell, allowed me to start today instead of going out and buying one.
After my workout, the previous temptation snacking options definitely seemed not worth it after I did “single arm kettle bell swing”. I just worked my booty off, literally, and found that I wanted something savory and fresh tasting. So, I made:
Caprese Pretzel Crisps topped with fresh mozzarella, tomato, fresh basil, salt and pepper &
1/2 a grapefruit made for the perfect citrus pick me up.
**Note:** Calories were saved in the making of this snack… 🙂
Try a new workout, challenge yourself, and try not to waste calories on foods that will not help you reach your goals. Calories In… Calories Out… 🙂
