Pumpkin Spice Playdough and Play Clay

What’s the difference between pumpkin Spice Playdough vs Play Clay?

Playdough: moldable, soft, regular Playdough texture, holds its shape, quick cooking required (worth it- I promise, it lasts!), storage ziploc on counter

Play Clay: moldable in a pie pan, “heavier,” no cooking, storage in fridge for a couple days, perishable bc it has can pumpkin in it so don’t leave it on counter, bonus: can be turned into… PUMPKIN CLOUD DOUGH for a different sensory experience.

1. First up, Pumpkin Spice Playdough: that lasts for weeks! Think of it as homemade Playdough with pumpkin spice seasoning. Store in an airtight container to keep for weeks.

Recipe via bombshell bling

Ingredients:

1 cup flour

1 cup water

1/4 cup salt

1 Tbsp vegetable oil

2 tsp cream of tarter

1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

food coloring (enough to get it to the color you would like)

Directions:

Toss all the ingredients into a saucepan and stir until everything is combined and there are no lumps.

Turn the stove on to medium heat and continuously stir until it starts to clump… Then keep stirring until it is all one big clump!

Remove from heat and knead by hand.

*Don’t overcook because then it dries out. If you do accidentally overcook the playdough, just spray some cooking oil on your hands and knead it into the dough.

*If it is too sticky, sprinkle a little flour on the table while your kneading and it will stop sticking!

*Store in an airtight container and it will last a long time!

2. Pumpkin Spice Play Clay (No Cook)

Super easy, no cooking required, just mix together!

Recipe via Growing a Jeweled Rose

Ingredients:

1 can of pumpkin (15 oz)

2-3 cups of corn starch

2 tbsp of pumpkin pie spice

Directions:

Just mix in a large bowl to combine, take it out to knead it a few times, and it’s done!

3. Cloud Dough

How to make it into cloud dough….

Do you see how it’s kinda crumbly after a little bit? It started out smooth and a little wet, but dries out quick. I left it out too long by accident but then made it into cloud dough, just by letting it dry out. I put it in a long tub and crumbled it up to make cloud dough. You can add a little vegetable oil to make it more moldable. It lasted only 1 more day bc it has pumpkin purée in it.

4. Easiest Recipe of all time… Pumpkin Spice Play Dough

Can of orange play dough and mix in some pumpkin spice seasoning! Ha! Done!
